The art of cleaning and maintaining your sneakers

You've just purchased a pair of J.M. Weston shoes; their future is in your hands. Regular care helps preserve their suppleness and enhance their appearance. Here are three essential steps for caring for your J.M. Weston leather, textile, and/or suede sneakers.

1. Brushing: remove impurities

Over time, your shoes require special care. First, gently brush your sneakers to remove dust and impurities.

Use a J.M. Weston horsehair brush and use light strokes to avoid damaging the material and to prepare it for the next step.

2. Cleaning: gently remove dirt

Over time, dust and dirt can dull the appearance of your sneakers. A thorough cleaning can revive their shine and preserve the material without damaging them. J.M. Weston sneaker cleaner is a universal stain remover that preserves the original nature, color, and appearance of your sneakers without damaging their surface.

Shake the bottle and apply the foam to the entire sneaker. Let the product sit for 2 minutes. Brush your sneakers again to remove stains and absorbed dirt. Let dry for 12 hours away from sunlight and heat.

3. Finishing: revive and protect the material

The final steps reveal the material's full shine. For smooth leather sneakers, apply J.M. Weston moisturizer, then use the J.M. Weston polishing glove to restore shine.

For suede, nubuck, or textile sneakers, be sure to waterproof them with J.M. Weston protective spray before wearing them to provide lasting protection against moisture and stains. These steps can be performed once a week.
